LEAGUE PHILOSOPHY

This is a RECREATIONAL league! Our philosophy is every child plays, regardless of skill level; all participants have FUN and learn the game of baseball, softball, or T-ball. We put an emphasis on team play, cooperation, good sportsmanship, courtesy, and respect to all players, coaches, officials, coordinators, and parents.

PRACTICES
Practices will be determined by the coaches’ availability.
Coaches will choose a certain time, field, and day of week that your teams’ practices will be held.

Practices will begin in early April: Coaches will confirm start dates once teams have been created. Once games begin, teams will only be allowed to practice on fields that are not being used that night for a game.

**If a field is lined for a game DO NOT practice on it.***

GAMES
Games will begin late-May and will be played during the week between the hours of 4:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Games that are rained out during the week will be rescheduled to be played on weekends or a different day of the week.

Specific game times for each grade level cannot be determined at this time. Once the number of teams has been determined, a game schedule will be created and distributed to the coaches.

TEAM SELECTION PROCESS

All teams will be selected by a coach’s draft during the first coaches meeting.

Our goal is to have balanced teams. Individual requests for certain coaches/friends are discouraged. If your child has a special need, please attach a letter explaining in detail his/her special need. All letters will be kept confidential. Every effort will be made to honor special needs. Personal requests such as carpooling, friends, and team requests are not considered special needs and receive no guarantee of being honored.

EQUIPMENT/UNIFORMS

Players must provide their own gloves, helmets, and bats. Baseballs, catching equipment, and uniforms will be provided.

COACHES

Our program is dependent on volunteers. We are in search of people who will make a commitment to both the children and to the program. To ensure a quality experience, many individuals’ knowledge, talent, and energy are needed. If you wish to help, please sign-up at registration.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
