Labor Day 2010
Announcing the 20th Annual Carlinville Kickoff Classic Soccer Tournament to be held Labor Day Weekend on September 3, 4 and 5th 2010 at Loveless Park in Carlinville, IL.
You are invited to register your recreational team for a weekend of soccer competition at one of the most successful recreational soccer tournaments in Central Illinois. Year after year the committee has received compliments at the quality of officiating, management, competition, and overall friendliness of the people from the surrounding communities. Please join us in a great weekend of soccer.
Reservations are now being accepted with entry forms and fees due by Aug 1st 2010, along with the non-refundable $50 reservation fee to hold your teams spot.. Team entries will only be accepted until all game slots are filled. The Kickoff Classic Management Committee expects to once again fill all slots with 55-60 teams competing. Please return your team reservation as soon as possible to guarantee your qualified entry.
We will once again provide competition for H.S. girls Club, Under-14 boys, Under-14 girls, Under-12 boys, and Under-12 girls. We will also be offering Under 10 Boys & Girls divisions playing 7 on 7 competitions on smaller fields as participation divisions. Roster size for these divisions will be limited to 12. Please note this change to the U10 divisions.
The fee schedule for divisions U12 and U14 will be $165.00 per team, due on or before Aug 15th.
The fee schedule for the U10 divisions will be $135 per team due on or before Aug 15th , 2010. The U10 will be a 2 day format this year. The High School girls fee is $200, due by Aug 15.
Registration fees not received by August 15, 2010 will have a late charge of $25.00 added. Any team whose fees are not paid by August 28, 2010 cannot be scheduled for tournament play.
Preliminary rounds will be played on Saturday and Sunday, with the championship rounds played on Monday.

2010 Carlinville Kickoff Classic
Tournament Rules
Based on the format of the tournament, U12 & U14 Boys and Girls divisions as well as H.S. Girls Club teams are guaranteed three games in a round robin and pool play format. The championship series for these divisions will be played on Monday. The U10 division will be participation divisions with a 2 day format, playing 7 X 7 on small fields with all participants receiving medals. This is a recreational tournament. No more than two card carrying players from the previous 12 months will be allowed per team. PLEASE NO COMPETITIVE TEAMS UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO PLAY UP A DIVISION (CALL TO REQUEST).
RULES OF THE TOURNAMENT
A) The rules of the tournament will come from the Illinois High School 2010-2011 rules booklet.
B) The age breakdowns for the tournament divisions are as follows:
Under-10 Born on or after Aug 1, 2000
Under-12 Born on or after Aug 1, 1998
Under-14 Born on or after Aug 1, 1996
H.S. girls Club (must not have yet graduated)
C) Coaches are required to check in their teams at the registration tent as soon as they arrive at the park. At that time each team will present a completed roster of their players.
D) Roster size will be kept to a maximum of eighteen players and a maximum of three coaches for divisions U12 and up. Roster size for U10 will be 12 players (7 X 7 on field). Player's numbers must be included on the rosters at the time of check-in. Only those players and coaches listed on the roster will be allowed to participate in any of the tournament games. No players may be added to the roster after the tournament starts. Players may play only on one team in a particular division. All players listed on the roster will be required to have a copy of their birth certificate available for inspection should a question arise regarding a players age. If a birth certificate copy is not in the immediate area of the team box, a forfeiture of that game is possible. Opposing coaches may request that a player's age be verified, but this request must be made prior to the start of the second half of the game. All age verification will be made after the game has been completed at the registration tent. Any team found out of compliance will be required to forfeit the game.
E) Any protest shall be filed at the registration tent within fifteen minutes following the games conclusion. A $50.00 non-refundable fee must accompany the protest. A cooling off period of two hours will be required before any ruling is made regarding the protest.
F) Yellow card violations & red card disqualifications will be handled as follows:
1) If a player receives 2 yellow cards in one game that player will be disqualified from participating in the team's next game.
2) If a player receives a red card disqualification that player will be disqualified from participating in the next game.
3) If a player receives 2 red cards during tournament play, that player may no longer participate in the tournament.
4) A disqualified player will be required to leave the field area immediately.

Tournament Rules
G) The length of the games on Saturday, Sunday and Monday's Semi Final games will be 60 minutes (two 30-minute halves with a 10 minute intermission). On Monday the length of the Final games will be
as follows:
1) Under - 10 -- two 25-minute halves
2) Under - 12 -- two 30-minute halves
3) Under - 14 -- two 35-minute halves
4) H.S. Girls -- two 40-minute halves
H) Tie game situations will be handled as follows:
1) On Saturday, and Sunday all tie games will be considered complete games.
2) On Finals tie games will be determined by the following the format:
2 - 5 minute sudden victory periods
1 - 5 person Shoot Out
1 - continuous sudden victory Shoot Out
I) Determination of Monday's participants:
1) On Saturday, and Sunday team points will be accumulated as follows:
+6 points for a win
+3 points for a tie
+0 points for a loss
+1 point for each goal scored up to a maximum of 3 points per game
+1 point for a shutout
-1 point for each red card or second yellow card issued to a player
2) A game will be considered official after a 6-goal differential is reached. The losing team will have the option after the first half is completed to continue the game.
3) In the event of a tie, after completion of Sunday's games, the following procedure will be used for determining the advancing team:
1. Head to head competition
2. Total goal differential (maximum of 6 goals per game)
3. Fewest goals allowed
4. Shoot-out competition between the two teams.
4) Any team that forfeits a game will receive a 0-6 loss to the opposing team. The opposing team will receive a 6-0 win with maximum points awarded for that game.
5) The tournament committee reserves the right to terminate any game at half time or adjust the length of games due to inclement weather.
6) In the event of tournament cancellation no entry fees will be refundable if the team has played one game.
7) If only four or less teams in a division round robin play for champion.
